
AVP/Centralized Lending Officer I

The AVP/Centralized Lending Officer I acts as one of the Bank’s Consumer Loan Officers for HELOC and Ready Reserve Accounts. The Centralized Lending Officer I examines, evaluates, underwrites, and recommends credit decisions on client applications for consumer loan products (HELOC, Ready Reserve, Convenience LOC, Reward LOC, and Auto Loans); and retail small business loan requests, specifically the Centralized Lending Business Products, CELOCs, and CE Term Loans. The AVP will also assist with processing credit card applications.
Pay Range:
Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $74,663/yr Max- $124,438/yr
Primary Responsibilities:
- Requests specified financial information for loan application packages.
- Orders credit reports, UCC searches, good standing searches, appraisals, flood searches, and title reports.
- Accurately spreads and analyzes financial statements of prospective and existing borrowers to determine feasibility of granting loan.
- Works closely with Account Officers to obtain corporate history, and to resolve questions regarding application information.
- Effectively underwrites loan applications in a timely manner adhering to credit policies and specific product guidelines.
- Presents credits to Chief Credit Officer, Executive Loan Committee, and/or Directors’ Loan Committee for approval, if required.
- Orders and audits loan documentation for approved loan applications presenting assembled doc package to Account Officers for doc signing.
- Monitors borrowers’ financial condition for compliance with loan covenants.
- Maintains and services retail loan portfolio by working closely with Account Officers in order to be responsive to changing borrowing needs and by renewing and/or amending existing loan commitments in a timely manner.
- Identifies and communicates risk grade changes based on financial statement review.
- Act as a Bank representative at civic and/or industry meetings or functions.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
- A demonstrated record of success with 2+ years of credit and underwriting experience
- MLO designation with NMLS Registration for HELOC Processing
- Strong foundation in financial statement analysis and auditing principles, including loan documentation and consumer lending compliance
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software
- Effective communication skills in presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Displays a client-driven attitude with the ability to engage customers, build personal connections, and exhibit professionalism
- Proven time management and problem solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and make necessary decisions within a fast paced environment
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner
- Travel by car may be required to meet with clients or prospects at their place of business
