VP/Relationship Credit Manager

The VP/Relationship Credit Manager is responsible for underwriting personal, business and commercial real estate credit facilities.  This position requires strong knowledge of cash flow, loan structure, collateral issues, due diligence, financial statement spreading techniques, loan portfolio management and interpretation of loan documentation.  Prepares credit authorizations for all new and renewed loans, including participation credit facilities.  Must understand and comply with the Bank's Credit Policy and Procedures for underwriting credit.

Pay Range:

Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $86,295/yr  Max- $143,825/yr

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately spread and analyze financial statements of prospective and existing commercial borrowers.
    • Analyze financial data to determine credit risks.
    • Effectively underwrite loan applications, including a complete financial and industry analysis in a concise and timely manner.
  • Maintain Collateral/Compliance Analyst updated with loan covenant testing and reporting requirements.
    • Research industries and current market conditions of commercial borrowers as they relate to Bank's potential risk.
  • Maintain current client relationships by being responsive to their changing business needs and by renewing and/or amending existing loan commitments.
  • Attend credit training seminars and complete all on-line compliance training sessions during the specified time frame.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced underwriting experience required with extensive knowledge of collateral analysis, ability to structure a variety of credit and excellent accounting skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
  • understanding and experience on financial statement spreading software, word processing, spreadsheet and internet software
  • knowledge of standard commercial lending products and services
  • Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance
  • Proven time management and problem solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and make necessary decisions within a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

Compliance Responsibilities: 

The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.
