Job Summary:
The Commercial Loan Assistant assists and supports commercial loan officers, senior management, and clients in regards to the renewal, processing, or follow-up of loans. The Commercial Loan Assistant must have the strong ability to multi-task and work with all departments of the bank.
Pay Range: Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $21.81/hr Max- $36.36/hr
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and conduct weekly and monthly reporting activities:
- Pull weekly/monthly reports, distribute to appropriate officers/lenders (i.e., Past Due Notes by Responsibility, Note Maturity Forecast Report, etc…).
- Coordinate officer decisions on all department overdrafts by 11:00 a.m. daily. Submit line advance/paydown requests as needed.
- Submit LARS report for necessary credit reports, UCC searches, appraisal orders, preliminary title reports etc. as indicated. Work with title companies and appraisers as needed. Submit invoices pertaining to fees for these services for payment; maintain copies in the credit file.
- Preparation of loan packages, letters and documentations:
- Complete LARS form for all incoming loan packages for Loan officer review prior to submitting to Credit Analyst pool.
- Prepare adverse action letters for declined/withdrawn loans for loan officer’s review and signature.
- Coordinate with Loan Officers and prepare renewal letters for existing customers regarding information needed in order to renew their loans 30 days prior to maturity.
- Coordinate and Assist loan officers with loan files and customer inquiries:
- Coordinate receipt of financial information with loan officers and compliance department. Complete compliance forms as financial information is received. Upon office review group (i.e.: fill out compliance forms (Ticklers), as financial information is received, as to the Restricted Advance and Officer Exception Reports, etc.).
- Submit documentation requests to Loan Support Services, follow-up with appropriate loan officer regarding document review by loan officer prior to scheduling loan signing. Maintain copy of loan documents for the credit file.
- As requested by the loan officers, pull information from the internet pertaining to loan clients.
- File all information received in appropriate files and/or create new customer files.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist to the fullest extent
- Administrative Responsibilities:
- Keep department organized and clean (distribute faxes, keep supplies available for fax/printers, filing)
- Sort and distribute mail daily; arrange for storage and pick-up and distribute office supplies.
- Prepare outgoing Fed-ex mailings as requested.
- Prepare marketing packages.
- Assist in Audits by pulling files and returning files as requested.
- Photocopy client information and other documents that the lenders need for credit or documentation files.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of one year of related experience
- Proficient computer and technical skills are preferred with experience in Microsoft Office,
- Displays a customer focused attitude with the ability to engage customers, build personal connections, and exhibit professionalism
- Proven time management and problem solving skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of external and internal clients
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work in an autonomous manner
Compliance Responsibilities:
The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.
